A "Real" Update with 14 New Guides!

Hey everyone! Here's a "real" update! Woo!

Nothing really to report except a few minor changes.

I've added two new articles to the Media Style Vault, one from the LA Times and the other from Vanity Fair. The LA Times article is really good so I suggest you check it out.

Next, I've rearranged the guide links. Now there are 6 categories instead of just 4. This should hopefully make finding a specific guide easier for you.

This update contains all the donations that I've received so please donate so another update can be added soon!

That's about it. To all those in the USA, Happy Thanksgiving!

Now go on and enjoy the "real" update!

I've added a search engine to the sidebar under navigation. Now, if you are looking for a specific guide or anything on the site you can use that to search for it!

Big Big Big!

Soooo...

You may have noticed a few changes on the sidebar. Well here's an explanation of them!

I added a "Picture of the Moment" to the right sidebar under our Fashionable Selena link. I love that picture so much and had to use it somewhere. I can't promise or say how often this will be updated but basically, it will change whenever my favorite picture of the boys changes.

Second, and most noticable I guess you could say...

I've created a new section of the site!

It's called "The Boys" and there you can find everything you could ever want to know about the boys' style and fashion. I've created time lines of what I consider their main fashion traits. There is also a media style vault that includes articles and interviews discussing the boys' style as well as videos of the boys talking about their style. I'll have downloads available for all the videos eventually but right now downloads aren't available. There's also a page called "Jonas Squared" where you can see what other celebrities have dressed like the boys!

So go check the new section out and give me your thoughts on it. I really want to know your opinions! Also if you have any ideas for the section (like any other time lines, etc) then please tell me!

Last, it's been brought to my attention that some of you are disappointed and think I've been leading you all on by asking what kind of update you want and then not delivering and I would like to address this:

I love this site. I really do. You should see me at school. I talk about it all the time to my parents and friends and I'm constantly thinking of ways to improve it. This is my baby. I always say I would be completely and utterly devastated if something were to happen to it. I check the email at least 5 times a day and work on the site everyday in study hall at school. When people suggest that I don't enjoy working the site anymore it really hurts my feelings because I put my heart and soul into this. Just because I'm unable to provide visual updates every week does not mean that I don't enjoy working the site. I obviously can not keep you from saying what you want, but I just wanted to let you all know that comments like that really hurt.

That being said, thanks to all of you who responded to my question. I agree about the smaller updates, it's easier for me anyway. However in order for smaller updates to occur I need donations. Right now I have barely any and I can't update unless I get donations. Also, your donation will be added to the site quicker if the donation is a full guide. Just saying ;]

So please give me your opinions on the new section! I worked really hard on it and I want/need your thoughts!

What's Your Opinion?

Hi everyone!

So here's an update! Also I need your opinions.

Do you prefer bigger, less frequent updates or smaller, frequent updates. For reference, the last update had 12 guides, which would be considered a bigger but less frequent update. This update has 6 guides, which would be considered a smaller but more frequent update. So please let me know which you prefer to see.

Last, I'm going to be in St. Louis from the 12th (Wednesday) to the 15th (Friday) for a Yearbook field trip so do not expect any updates then. I will not have my laptop but I will have my Blackberry and my iPod so I will be checking my email and if the hotel has wireless internet I will also be checking the comments and cbox (with my iPod). So please behave! I know you all will though so I'm not worried. I can't wait for the trip, it's going to be awesome!

Again please give me your opinions. You can either answer by leaving a comment or in the cbox!

Thanks and I hope you enjoy!

We're Baaaaaaack!!!

Yep! The new layout is up! There were over 900 votes! Thank you all so much! Layout Preview #1 (this layout) recieved 520 votes and layout preview #2 recieved 399 votes! Super close race so thank you for voting!

I know I said that new guides would be up but they obviously aren't. I've got a few done and they will be added very very soon!

In the meantime, requests are back open! Yay! After forever you all can now request again! Get those requests in soon because they normally fill up really quickly!

I also added a new section to the site called "Ask Me". In it you can ask me anything you want. It's under interact or Click Here.

Next and most important to me, I have a new project for all of you to participate in for November. It's to raise awareness for diabetes and it's going to go on in November because November is National Diabetes Month. The project is called the "1 in 30 Project" and the premises is this:

You give up 1 luxury item for 1 month (30 days). At the end of the month you are able to give whatever you would have spent on that item throughout the month to a diabetes charity. For example, I will be giving up buying candy at my school's candy store. This equals $1 for every purchase or $30 if I were to buy candy everyday. At the end of the month I could donate that $30 to a diabetes charity of my choice.

Obviously you are not required to donate anything to any charity or organization. Even if you cannot donate you can still participate. The whole project is about raising awareness for diabetes and seeing what it is like for a diabetic. When diabetics are first diagnosed they must alter their entire lifestyles and diets for their whole lives. By giving up a luxury item for 1 month we are able to (almost) understand what it is like for diabetics who must alter their lifestyles, if only for a month.

To Join Click Here!!

I want this project to become huge so please join, tell your friends to join, promote it on message boards, Myspace, Facebook, anything and anywhere! Thank you all so much! I know this is going to be a great project!

Last, I've decided that any merchandise from the Official Jonas Fashion Store purchased in November will go to Change for the Children. This includes the Team Hilario and Poned shirts. I will also be creating some new designs throughout the month specifically for diabetes awareness so be on the look out for those!

So a reminder:

Join the "1 in 30 Project"
Request
Comment on what you think of the new layout!

Thanks all! Comment please!
